Snacks in Brooklyn Heights

Valerie and I were hungry after our botanical garden adventure and made our way into Brooklyn Heights for some amazing food and snacks from Sahadi's Specialty And Fine Foods and Damascus Pita. My friend Jesika introduced me to these two gems….they sell the Syrian food and sweets that I was brought up on from my Mother who was raised in Brooklyn. I get very emotional coming here on my visits….the aromas take me back to my aunt visiting and bringing us these treats, and my Mom making and enjoying and sharing the food with us.
