After a full day on Monday of a great breakfast at my favorite diner (Westway Diner), shopping in DUMBO, walking the Brooklyn Bridge, dinner at my favorite Italian place (La Lanterna di Vittorio), we went to see “Death Of A Salesman” in previews. (The greats) Nathan Lane, Laurie Metcalf, Christopher Abbott, Ben Ahlers lead the cast, and Joaquin Consuelos (Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’ son) is in it as well. Tuesday night, after our Algonquin hotel dinner and piano jam, Kristen and I went to “The Outsiders” stage door…ten incredible cast members are leaving the musical this month and we wanted to say a final “stay gold” to those who came out I commissioned my friend Sharon Barton Dale to paint some amazing show rocks for the cast and gave some out Sunday and again Tuesday night…I got to see my fav cast member Brent Comer and an incredible cast member SeQuoiia who will take over

Tuesday night was our last night in NYC…Kristen and I booked it from the Colbert Show and went to the historic Algonquin Hotel….we looked for their new hotel cat but the hotel is under renovation and when it’s finished, they’ll adopt a kitty from a rescue or shelter (Hamlet retired recently). We shared the most sublime burger and fries and had a fantastic cookie ice cream sandwich for dessert, all while listening to a wonderful piano player tickle the ivories so beautifully

After Kristen and I saw the new play “Every Brilliant Thing” on Saturday night, we grabbed Walgreens snacks for dinner and headed to see Jeremy Jordan in his last show as Jay Gatsby. Evan joined us and of course Jennifer Lyn was there with her besties and I got in my Jennifer hug! Jeremy is absolutely incredible and shined like the GOLD that he is…what a DELIGHT it is to hear his silky voice and watch him act…I’ve become such a big fan of his art. A very special night seeing

I really love coming back from a trip with as few dirty clothes as possible…and I always love to visit Terrance and his Mom who own Mr. Green Laundry on 9th Avenue near 46th. So kind, hard working, and personable. Check them out if you’re here and need your clothes laundered asap (no dry cleaning).

Kristen and I got tickets to the The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’s that will air tonight! Michelle Pfeiffer and Dave Matthews were the guests….and Dave performed three soulful solos. Watch it tonight on CBS!! I commissioned my talented friend Sharon Barton Dale to paint a 2-sided rock for a gift for Stephen and the kind security guard was going to get it to his assistant (see the pics of me holding it)….it is amazing!! Another amazing dinner last night at my favorite Italian restaurant in the city, with our friend, David. The beef lasagna, margherita pizza and arugula/parmesan salad are my faves here….all are so delicious!!!

The loveliest get together with Jason Forbach….he’s currently starting in “Ragtime”….his voice and acting are so smooth….I first saw him in “Into The Woods” and it’s always a joyful adventure to follow his roles

Yesterday, we started out with a good breakfast in Hells Kitchen and then made our way to DUMBO (down under the Manhattan bridge overpass)….did some walking and shopping and had a fantastic walk from DUMBO to Manhattan….we got lucky as it was finally a beautiful day!!

Hot chocolate & tea with Joel is always the best….meeting baby FireFly , discussing theatre, Punch the and Moo Deng the ….fun Tuesday morning!

Sunday 3/8/26….after we saw The Outsiders, we booked it fast to 43rd and grabbed some pizza of course before we saw Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at my favorite place in the city….I miss my cast favs (Aaron, Alex, Erik, Joel, Matthew, Steve) but it’s still a solid play that I love #31 #harrypotterandthecursedchild

We had an amazing afternoon on Sunday 3/8/26, seeing “The Outsiders”…. It was Tilly Evans-Krueger’s last performance as Ace the greaser….she’s a fricking legend in dance and choreography and it’s been pure JOY to see her as Ace at the Jacobs!! Tulsa will miss her so much #Tulsa1967

Profoundly loved “Every Brilliant Thing” with Daniel Radcliffe. Such a different type of play….it had everything: improv, humor, sadness, sweetness. The audience participation is the prime part of it and it totally works. It’s a limited 13 week run….go see it absolutely, if you can!

On Friday, we started off with an egg, bacon and cheese on a roll, and Kristen and I did a walking tour with my favorite tour guide, Adam Guy aka I Know A Guy walking tours. My 9th tour in three years and Kristen’s 1st…and spectacular as always! We had an amazing tour of Roosevelt Island (cold and cloudy - we didn’t care) and then made our way to Hudson Yards, the HiLine, and Chelsea Market. If you want a tour of any part of NYC, you need to buzz Adam! Thank you so much, Adam

Had to introduce the girls to the greatness of Mama's Too and asked two cool girls in line at Rhythm Zero coffee to get us some Blackberry Pie Matcha Lattes omg they were delish!!! and then we met good girl Molly

First we saw Amy Sedaris….then we saw James Iglehart…and today, we saw Seth Rudetsky (the godfather of all that is musical theatre) walking his adorable dog, Winnie, and gave him a hand painted doggy rock from Sharon Barton Dale which he loved…we asked him where his husband James was and he said “he’s on a cruise…he can go eff himself!” He was a hoot and such a fun guy to gab with!
