Had to say my hellos to the NY Public Library lion brothers today (named Patience and Fortitude)…..got some fantastic, extra crispy pizza tonight before seeing Hadestown….it has been on my to-see list for almost two years….Phillip Boykin as Hades and Jordan Fisher as Orpheus were the standouts for me. The three Fates and all of the Workers were exceptional as well.

I REALLY loved the New Orleans jazz bar scene inspiration of the show….as a big NOLA lover, it was a surprise for me that I didn’t realize would be there…the orchestra was outstanding!!! A sad ending but mythology so often is. I’m so glad I finally saw it….will definitely see it again when it comes to Dallas. Big thanks to Amy Rebideaux and Stephen Mark Schwitzer for giving me a detailed layout of what to expect so that I don’t go in blindly…..and thank you Adam Guy for encouraging me to go and not change my ticket for a different show!
