Saturday, March 25th was so cold and very rainy so some plans were curtailed but there was still a lot to do….started out in Central Park and walked to the famous Central Park Carousel which is over 100 years old and has 57 horses and 2 chariots. More walking and enjoying the Park even though it was dreary outside but there were still runners, walkers and people strolling. There were really not too many dogs out but I remembered that I met Trixie the early evening on Friday so she’s my Saturday pup Lyfted it to Barney Greengrass, Inc for a hot and divine lunch of a pastrami sandwich on rye and THE MOST amazing potato latkes. It’s an old school deli, open since 1908, known for smoked fish, egg dishes, deli sandwiches, and they don’t take credit cards. It was hustle and bustle in there and I appreciated the Rex from my friend, Amy. I walked a few blocks to a cafe and parked it for a couple of hours, enjoying a matcha lavender latte at CHALAIT and just chilling. Freshened up at the hotel and then went to see “New York, New York” at the St. James Theatre which is a beautiful venue. I loved the show so much (it’s in previews)….the leads and ensemble were fantastic and the music and sets were really incredible. I wish that I could have shared this show with my Mom, who was from Brooklyn. #NYC #nyeats #centralpark #carousel #trixiethedog #barneygreengrass #pastramisandwich #potatolatkes #matchalatte #rainynyc #newyorknewyork #247 #24days7thingsaday
