March 16, 2025 - Bernard Jacobs Theatre

Allen and I saw “The Outsiders” matinee yesterday. I can’t say enough about this magnificent show. It was my 6th trip to Tulsa and probably my most favorite. The entire cast was on ….there were a number of understudies on stage and they lit it up! Josh Strobl was in for Brody Grant who plays PonyBoy and Josh was spectacular and pure joy to watch (he’s flashing the peace sign in the pics)! Barton Cowperthwaite is leaving the show today (Sunday) and always plays a soc(ial) and is always on his game. (In pic with me.)He’s played a variety of roles during the show’s run and will be missed (he survived a brain tumor scare in 2023 and is healthy now).

I got to see my favorite cast member, Brent Comer, near stage door after their evening show. He plays Darrel (the oldest greaser brother) with strength and a beautiful voice. I’ve met him multiple times and he always has a kind smile and is very grateful for the fan support. He did a few shows at the cabaret, 54 Below, last month (I was at one of them) and his talent and charm are going to take him far in this industry.  

I wore my bracelets from Broadway Stacks and from my friend, MJ, and enjoyed bringing them for the ride. Mindi Sue Sternblitz-Rubenstein and Brian J Rubenstein

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Lyric will always be my #1….you can catch me at the Jacobs Theatre seeing this emotionally moving show if you don’t find me there! #greasers #justicefortulsa
