First preview of “Smash” last night was wild….the line to get in was insane but moved quickly….it was expectedly sold out and was electric and frenzied inside. Their marketing team had us scream “Smash opening night” into a mic a

nd also did a mini interview with us when we left the theater. We were packed in like sardines but everyone was excited!! We all received a complimentary poster for the show’s show “Bombshell” and one of the directors came out and welcomed us and told us they had had tech issues throughout the day and not gotten through a full tech rehearsal soooo that made it all the more crazy!!

The cast was  and hilarious and jazzed….and because of tech stuff, intermission was a bit longer than usual (which they warned us about). There were several standing ovations during the show, too, which made it run a bit long but we were not complaining! As Evan said, it was THE MOST META experience we could have….a first preview of a show about a first preview that was riddled with issues…that had tech delays to boot!  It was such a fun experience….there will definitely be show changes before opening night but we LOVED IT!
