June 7, 2025 - Walter Kerr Theatre

It was really special to see the matinee of “Hadestown” with Evan today. I loved how he, as a musician, explained some different things in the musical to me that I never would have known or thought about.   

We hoofed it for a bit after our lunch at Edith’s Cafe, perused the most gorgeous donuts at The Donut Pub while playing with a pupper, and decided that I needed blinds for my hotel room.  We then cabbed it to Hadestown and it was pouring  but our cabbie had to drop us four blocks from the theater cuz he got a flat  and we got soaked! Big thank you to Evan for keeping cool, holding the umbrella over us both, and keeping me calm thru the drench of rain!  We had really close seats to the stage and Phillip Boykin, who plays Hades, loved Evan and shook his hand. Such a blast today!!!
