Daily Update

March 25, 2023

Friday, March 24th…..started the day with a Dunkin’ iced latte (thanks, Marc!) and made my way to The Met Cloisters thanks to the rec from my friend, Jesika. It was pretty easy to get to but there was a heck of a hike after I got off the subway and made my way up a <mighty> hill…omg  Once inside, it was a very beautiful museum dedicated to the Middle Ages and the grounds and gardens were really gorgeous, too. I left and walked down the hill it’s situated on via a rock path/trail. My clumsy self took it slow but I did it, unscathed! I also met Bug the ! Came back to Midtown for a late lunch with Marc at Patsy's Italian Restaurant, which was highly recommended by Bill Ziegler

and it was awesome. Penne Alla Vodka and the Chicken Francese were exceptional as were the zucchini fries! This restaurant has been around since 1944 and is family-owned and has had only 3 chefs. It was a nice afternoon so I last-minute bought a ticket to the Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center. But first, banana pudding from Magnolia Bakery….so satisfying! The views were incredible and it was a blast to be up that high and see the gorgeous city from so many angles. (I can’t believe I never thought to do this before.) I met up with Marc at Joe Allen’s bar to have a pre-show drink (Marc saw Martin Short before I arrived!) We saw the new show “Shucked” at the Nederlander Theatre and it was cute and corny  and we very much enjoyed seeing Alex Newell in it.  #NYC #nyeats #coffee #themetcloisters #bugthedog #patsysnyc #magnoliabakery #topoftherock #rockefellercenter #joeallens #MartinShort #shucked #247 #24days7thingsaday
